Position Title -      Accounts Payable Clerk

Reports to -           Finance Manager

Position Scope & Purpose -     

 

Perform accounting and clerical tasks related to the efficient maintenance and processing of accounts payable transactions. The position will also assist other members of the senior management team to ensure the delivery of the organisation’s goals.

Specific Duties -  

o     Receive, verify and code invoices for four divisions

o   Requesting approval when and were required

o   Data entry of invoices into system for payment

o     Processing payment runs via EFT/direct credit or Bpay

o   Manage weekly cheque run and obtaining approval for payment runs

o   Sending out cheques and remittance advices electronically or via post

o     Reconciliation of payments

o     Reconciliation of corporate credit card

o     Entering staff weekly/monthly expenses into the system

o     Produce monthly reports and analysis of accounts

o     Monitor accounts to ensure payments are up to date

o     Resolve invoice discrepancies

o     Correspond with vendors and respond to inquiries, and maintain vendor files

o     Assist in month end closing

Essential Skills & Qualities -

o     Knowledge of accounts payable, and of general accounting procedures

o     Proficient in data entry and management

o     1-3 years accounts payable and general accounting experience

o     Ability to work to deadlines, and attention to detail and accuracy

Desirable Skills & Qualities -

o     Computer accounting knowledge of Quickbooks accounting system

o     Computer literacy – accounting & related applications – Microsoft Excel & Word.

 

 

 

 

Junior League Development Officer

Part-time / Casual Position

 

(March through to August)

 

 

A position is available for a part-time / casual Junior League Development Officer with the NSW Rugby League Academy.

 

The role would be 2 days per week and would commence in March through to August 2010 and would look after the Sydney Northern and Southern Junior League Regions.

 

The Junior League Development Officer role would include:-

 

• Liaising with the Junior Leagues and other RL bodies

• Coach Education Programs

• Liaising with the Junior League Club Secretaries

• Assist in other areas of JL Development were required

 

The applicant must hold a current ARL Senior Club Coach (Level 2) or higher qualification and be flexible with working hours.
