What is Disability Sport?

A disability sport and classification awareness package for anyone interested or involved in the provision of sport with a disability.

The CD-ROM is a self-paced learning tool that covers both the broad aspects of disability sport, and classification in particular.

The material is highly interactive, containing over 100 video clips and images, interviews with athletes, classifiers and coaches, and a comprehensive workbook. All units have specific learning outcomes attached to them, each containing a ten-question multiple-choice quiz and a case study designed to test understanding.

DEP Activity Cards

There are 12 different activity cards available for you to download for free. Check related downloads section below.

These activity cards are a great source of inclusive game ideas for people with and without disabilities. The cards are ideal for coaches, teachers and sports leaders and encourage use of the TREE model to adapt and modify game situations to be more inclusive of people with a disability.

The TREE model can be used in any sports activity situation and each card lists examples of how TREE can be applied to the game, giving various adaptive strategies resulting in greater inclusion.
