Over 500 students arrived at Roosters Central to be a part of NRL’s Community Carnival.
All students experienced a Backyard League Session at Kippax Lakes with ARL Development Officers guiding them through and Roosters NRL squad joining to encourage the children.
The event was not only about physical activity, as it also involved players along with ARL Development Officers in discussions about One Community’s’ Eat Well, Play Well, Stay Well program which encourages children to live a more active and healthy life style. Players passed on information about various sports they played as youngsters as well as the healthy diet they live by to be elite sports people.
The day’s experience also allowed those attending to visit to the players Change Room at the SFS and see where the players prepare for a game as well as the Roosters Gym to view a different aspect of the player’s training.
All participants are encouraged to enter the Roosters / One Community Colouring-in Competition to win some great prizes.
Many thanks to all schools who participated and supported the Roosters / NRL Community Carnival.
