What we offer

RISE Coach Development Program

Guided by the RISE Program Head Coach, participants of the RISE Coach Development Program (Development Coaches) will receive education in contemporary coaching practices, strength & conditioning and socio-emotional­ development whilst leading and mentoring a group of players through a tailored series of training sessions and workshops that aim to provide players with the tools they need to reach their potential. At the completion of the program, coaches will receive the NRL RISE Development Coach Accreditation.



Roles & Opportunities

RISE Coach Development Program roles include:

 

  • Head Coach will coordinate the technical and tactical delivery of the program whilst mentoring Development Coaches.
  • Development Coaches are aspirational coaches who wish to improve their knowledge and experience as a coach.

 

RISE Support roles include:

 

  • Program Managers to liaise with coaching staff and league staff and oversee the coordination of the program.
  • Qualified Strength & Conditioners to oversee the delivery of the Physical Development program.
  • Life-Fit Coaches to facilitate the activities that support the players Socio-emotional
    development program. These are individuals with a keen interest and qualifications in Health & Wellbeing.
  • Qualified Sports Trainers to coordinate first aid and injury management.
    Successful applicants will need to have at least a Level 1 Sports Trainer Accreditation.


What's included in the Coach Development Program?

Program Outcomes

  • Completed RISE Coach Development Training
  • Lead a group of players through the program whilst applying contemporary coaching practices
  • Contribute to the delivery of both on-field and off-field training sessions and workshops
  • Commit to pass on the knowledge gained throughout the coach development program with the view to improve the Rugby League experience of all

 

Selection Criteria:

  • Minimum Community Club Coach Accreditation
  • Minimum 3 years coaching experience.
  • Commitment to attend all coach development workshops and RISE Session
  • Demonstrates the RISE Values (Routine, Identity, Socialise and Evolve)
