Through a unique partnership, CQUniversity Australia and the NRL are offering Officials the opportunity for the skills and knowledge developed as a Rugby League Official to be nationally recognised by Employees, Universities, TAFE and Registered Training Organisations. These units are achieved through our new accreditation scheme.



National Officiating Accreditation Structure - F1, F2, T1 & T2

Through a unique partnership, CQUniversity Australia and the NRL are offering Referees the opportunity for the skills and knowledge developed as a Rugby League Official to be nationally recognised by Employees, Universities, TAFE and Registered Training Organisations.

NRL Vocation, Education and Training (VET) program provides Nationally Recognised Industry Recognition qualifications in Certificate II in Sport & Recreation and Sport Development – Athlete and also Certificate III in Sport – Athlete embedded within each level of the National Officiating Accreditation Structure (NOAS) delivering accredited Match Officials future educational and career opportunities. 

Highly sought-after skills developed as a Rugby League Referee of leadership, teamwork, decision making, conflict management, critical and creative thinking and communication are now being Nationally recognised.

If you are currently a registered referee with a Referee Association or an Accredited Referee you will be emailed the updates of the VET course roll-out.  Ensure your email is current on the MySideline site.
