Applicants may provide evidence of existing current qualifications that can be used to substitute some course modules. All candidates will need to apply and be approved, for any acceptance of prior learning.
Once the form is received, it will be assessed, and further information will be provided to the candidate on the next steps.
It is important to avoid directly enrolling in a full course; the application should be completed first.

Equivalency Applications
If a candidate has a qualification that is equivalent to the NRL Safety Education qualification, then equivalency may be granted. It is important that this application process is followed before a candidate acts in the role of a Sports Trainer. Under the NRL Policy, all Sports Trainers must hold an NRL Sports Trainer Certificate to practice in a Rugby League setting.
The only qualifications that are fully equivalent to the NRL Sports Trainer Scheme are listed below. Each qualification will need to meet the additional parameters to be awarded the NRL equivalent qualification. These include:
Evidence of current HLTAID001/009 Provide CPR and HLTAID003/011 Provide First Aid as outlined above must also be submitted before equivalency can be approved.
