Sports Trainer Re-accreditation Courses

All League First Aid, Level 1 and Level 2 Sports Trainers will have up to a 12 months’ grace period, from their expiry date, to complete their re-accreditation. After this grace period, trainers will need to re-complete a League First Aid, Level 1 or Level 2 Sports Trainer course to remain qualified.

Note: If your accreditation has expired, you CANNOT act in the role of a First Responder through the grace period.

Course Outline

The NRL requires Sports Trainers to update their accreditation every 3 years to remain current. The course is a blended delivery with both eLearning and face to face training.    

NRL eLearning:

  • Safety in Rugby League
  • Concussion Management: Community & Participants
  • Re-accreditation Assessment Module

Face to Face Training

Participants will be required to attend 5 hours face to face training which includes: 

  • HLTAID009 Provide CPR
  • HLTAID011 Provide First Aid

Qualifications

All participants who successfully complete the NRL League First Aid, Level 1 or Level 2 Sports Trainer course will receive the following qualifications:

  • HLTAID009 Provide Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation
  • HLTAID011 Provide First Aid
  • NRL League First Aid, Level 1 or Level 2 Sports Trainer certificate
