Senior Club Coach (SCC)

Overview: The National Rugby League’s ‘Senior Club Coach’ Course is aimed at Senior Coaches, Junior Representative Coaches and Coach Developers.

Following a review of their coach education programs, the NRL will be retiring the ‘Senior Club Coach’ program at the end of the 2024 season and replacing it with an alternative accreditation format.

Therefore, the ‘Senior Club Coach’ course will be run for one last cycle to support coaches operating in this area for the 2023-24 season.

Eligibility: To apply for the Senior Club Coaching Course, applicants will need to have an International Games (IGC), Club Coach, or Community Coach 13's+ certificate for at least 12 months and be over the age of 18. They will also be required to be coaching a team that is operating in the ‘Performance’ aspects of the player pathway which are listed in the table below. Some courses will have limited spots and applicants will be accepted on their current coaching commitments.
